Football Tables

177

Football Tables are made for indoor and outdoor use, and the category is organised that way: professional tables, coin-operated tables, outdoor and indoor tables and printed tables. A group of accessories belongs with them.

The accessories include wooden players, telescopic rods and score counters. Among the tables themselves you can choose between models with through rods and competition tables. Garlando, Buffalo and TopTable are among the brands in this group.

Indoors or outdoors: where will your football table go?

A foosball table for the living room or basement doesn’t need to stand up to rain and damp, but one for the garden or patio does. The Buffalo Storm Outdoor F1 is built from thermoplastic resin and fibreglass, with a 5 mm toughened glass playing field. For schools, parks and clubs there’s the Heblad concrete football table: cast in one piece, with stainless steel rods and goals, and made to stay outdoors. Garlando and Cornilleau also have weather-resistant models. You’ll find them all among our outdoor football tables.

Telescopic or through rods?

With through rods, the rod slides out on the other side of the table as you pull it towards you or push it away. With telescopic rods, the rod slides into itself, so nothing sticks out on the opposite side. If small children are around the table, that’s a useful difference. The Garlando G-100, G-200 and G-500 Evolution are available in both versions. Through rods are mainly found on tables built for intensive and professional use.

What makes a table football table professional?

You can recognise a professional football table by a few key features:

  • 16 mm rods running through nylon bushings with ball bearings
  • cast players
  • a sandblasted glass playing field, as on the Garlando G-500 Evolution
  • a heavy cabinet: the G-500 Evolution weighs 75 kg and has 25 mm walls

For clubs and competitions there are the Garlando Champion tournament tables, and for bars and canteens there are coin-operated tables such as the Garlando Maracana. See the full range of professional football tables.

How much space does a foosball table take up?

A full-size table is about 1.40 m long: the TopTable Competition measures 142.5 x 77.5 x 87 cm, with a playing field of 118 x 68 cm. The rods make a table wider; including them, the Garlando G-500 comes to 125 cm. As a guide, plan for about a metre of clear space beyond the handles on both sides. Short of space? Then choose a folding table, such as the Garlando Master Pro, the Riley 4ft 6in or the TopTable Score Fold-Up. For young children or tabletop play there are NORTH mini football tables from 51 x 31 x 8 cm. You’ll find spare balls, players and rods among our football table accessories.
